Legumes are rich in protein and vitamins. It would be good to eat twice a week.
Ingredients for four people:
¤ ½ kg raw peas or cooked pot
¤ 8 medium potatoes, peeled
¤ 1 small cabbage or half
¤ 4 eggs boiled or
¤ 4 chicken thighs or any other meat or fish
¤ 1 ½ l of water
¤ Salt to taste
¤ A minced garlic and parsley
¤ olive oil
How to make the recipe:
Put the chickpeas to soak the night before. Half an hour before putting the heat, drain the soaking water and add a little baking, mix and allow ½ hour.
Put water in a large pot, salt and chickpeas and put them into the fire. Watch for when it starts boiling water does not leave the pot. Simmer with the lid of the pot a bit uncovered until the beans are tender.
In another pot, add water, salt and bring to boil. Add the meat if it has been chosen and if not put the potatoes. Boil about 15 minutes, depending on the kind of potatoes (some are made before the other). When the potatoes are almost done add the cabbage and simmer about 7 minutes.
If you have opted for egg, add water and eggs in a saucepan. Boil about 5 minutes. Remove them from pan and cool them. Peel.
If you have chosen to fish, cook steamed.
Everything is served on a large plate or two medium. The chopped is served in a separate bowl so that everyone can enjoy at home. Seasoned with olive oil and salt.
