¤ 3 / 4 cup (180 mL) packed brown sugar
¤ 1 cup (250 mL) corn syrup
¤ 1 can sweetened condensed milk (Eagle Brand Type) (300 ml)
¤ 1 c. tsp (5 mL) vanilla

1. In a bowl, combine flour, salt and baking soda. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, combine oil and sugar. Stir in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix. Add apples and mix with a spatula.
2. Pour batter into a tube pan (Bundt type) with a capacity of 12 t (3 L), buttered and floured. Bake in bottom third of preheated 325 ° F (160 ° C) for 1 hour 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Put the cake on a wire rack and let cool for 10 minutes before unmolding. (You can prepare the cake in advance and cover it. It will keep for up to 2 days in the refrigerator or up to 2 weeks in the freezer, wrapped in aluminum foil and placed in an airtight container.) Preparation of sauce.
3. Meanwhile, in a heavy saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. Stir in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla and stir with a wooden spoon until the sauce is smooth. (You can prepare the sauce in advance, let it cool and put it in an airtight container. It will keep in refrigerator up to 1 week. Reheat over low heat before you pour over the cake.)
4. Place the unmolded cake on a rack in a baking tray. Pour about half of the sauce by letting it flow over the edge and center. Serve with remaining sauce on the side.
